Helping
Hands is busy getting ready for the next Craft Fair/Flea Market which will be
held Sat. Oct. 9, 9 am – 5 pm. We will be asking for baked goods again. They
sell really well & last year you came thru like troopers! We will also have
hamburgers, hot dogs, & drinks for a $1 donation. The Blue Grass Band will
again entertain about noon. This is a great fundraiser for our church and we
welcome any help we can get. So please???????
The
CPWM Regional meeting will be held at First Church Olive Branch on Sept. 25.
Registration is at 9 & the meeting begins at 9:30 am. Mike Sharpe will
present a SKYP; a face to face live conversation (via technology) featuring Dr.
Bob Watkins, Rev. john Swaggart, Mr. Kenneth Hobson of Uganda, Licentiate Glenn
Watts and our Denomination’s new Moderator, Rev. Boyce Wallace of South
America. Lunch will be provided by the ladies of their church. The project for
the meeting will be filling “totes” for the Tennessee Dept of Children’s
Services. These children are victims of meth lab raids/crimes. All ladies are
encouraged to attend.
Our
regular Helping Hands meetings are on the 3rd Tuesday of each month
& we would LOVE to have any ladies who can to join us. We usually have pot
luck lunch at 11:30 followed by our meeting. We have a few outings a year which
add a little spice to our Helping Hands….. Hope to see some of you at our next
meeting.
